UYS # 227 Good Things in 3's!

My turn to hostess !  This time I am challenging you to use "Good Things in 3's"
 - 3 photos (or 3 phrases if you are a cardmaker)
 - 3 colours (black and white - free)
 - 3 embellishments (use as many of each you want as long as you have 3 different types)
And have fun!

I made this 2 pager with 3 photos, my colours 1.blue  2.brown and 3. orange
with  1. twine, 2. diecuts and  3.buttons as embellies.

The other DT members had fun with 3's in this way:

Lori
I used three photos, red, blue, and yellow for my colors, die cut stars, wood veneer stars, and enamel dots for my embellishments.

Here's my threes: 3 flowers, 3 kinds of polka dots, 3 colors

I used three photos, red, green, and brown for my colors, red & green sequins, wood veneer hearts, and lots of rub ons for my embellishments.

I choose to create this layout using 3 photos, 3 colours - red, black & white plus 3 embellies - stars, circles & bling.

Ok your turn, show us what you got! Linkup below.

Challenge #226 - 54321 Create!

This weeks Challenge is a 54321 challenge.  To start choose 5 patterns, then 4 colors, 3 photos, 2 (at least) embellishments and 1 washi tape...easy peasy right?

Julia
Hi friends, you can see that I used tons of patterns from border strips, scraps and even washi tape, 4 colors, 3 photos (1 larger and 2 smaller), 2 embellishments (enamel dots, heart cut outs, and even the metal diamond shapes on the tags) and 1 washi tape ( I have the gold, black, and chevron).

Martha Lucia
The base of my page is Whisper White. The five patterns are on the symbol and numbers, the 4 colors are used on the ombre technique, the two embellishments are the dandelion buttons on each side and the washi tape is on the upper part. I created this page using My Memories Suite 6 Digital Program.

Gail

My five patterns are the base page (Teresa Collins) and blocks from a 6x6 Authentique paper pad.  My four colours are black, beige, red and blue.  My two embellishments are brads and twine and my washi tape is at the bottom of the navy dotted block. I used one of this month's PageMaps sketches. Please see my blog for full details.

Sarah

Boy was this week a challenge - 5 patterned papers, 4 colours, 3 photos, 2 embellishment and 1 washi!! I created my 4 colour background using the gorgeous ColourBlast colour pastes and used the various patterned paper to mat one of my photos. For more details head to my blog at

#225 Colour Challenge

Hi, this is Beth. Heather is recuperating from surgery, so I'm bringing you the details of her awesome color challenge for this week.

I looked through my paper stash and found retired Stampin' Up! colors Green Galore and Orchid Opulance and current color Bermuda Bay.  These are the closest I could come to Heather's color choices.  Feel free to use any brand of paper or ink and use similar colors already in your stash.  We can't wait to see what you come up with.  Heather we wish you a speedy recovery!  Please see all the design team's creations below.

Here are some ATC cards that Heather created:

Gail

Here's my card. I made my own background paper (under the "life is good" diecut) using alcohol inks.

Julia

I dug deep into my stash to find a paper kit with the correct colors, it's from Cloud 9 Designs from 2007...yes 2007. Don't forget to stop my blog to see the close-ups.

Majo

I used Darkroom Door stamps for the background and the image my card. The sentiment is a stamp by Skipping Stones Design.

I so LOVE these colors.  I had such a fun time with this challenge.  I had some wooden letters in my project bin that I have had for some time.  I have finally made good use of them :)  Made with Heartfelt Creations stamps/dies and paper from the Enchanted Sea Collection.  Stop by my blog to see all of the details!

Khristina

I absolutely love these colors but I had a hard time creating a layout using them. There are not nearly enough purple scrapbooking products in this world in my opinion. Here is the layout that I ended up creating. I can't wait to see what you create.

I love the colors Heather chose for this challenge.  Here's my quick and easy 3x3 card.

I love this color combination and was surprised how much of the mint green I found in my stash

#223 Highlights

I am so sorry everyone!  It looks like we forgot to do a highlights post for Shirley's challenge of heat embossing so here we go

Pamellia's card has some amazing layers and textures to it!  The heat embossing on the metal embellishments was really cool to see!

The heat embossing and then coloring on Lilian's card is a great combination!

I loved the theme of Kathryn's card and the heat embossing of those big bold letters really stands out!

Don't forget to grab your blog badge from the sidebar.  Congratulations ladies!
Thank you again for everyone who played along and so sorry for the late posting!
